Musical Theater Competition Team (2023-2024)

Rehearsals are on Fridays 5pm-7pm, starts on Aug 19, 2023 through Dec 22, 2023; plus 2nd semester: Jan 6, 2024 through Jun 8, 2024
 
The team will participant in two national musical theatre competitions. (Competition registration fee is TBA. First one is around Feb 17-19, 2024 in Southern California; 2nd competition is around May, 2024 in San Francisco. Actual dates are TBA.) 
We will follow Cupertino school district calendar to arrange recess. Extra rehearsals before competitions are TBA. 
 
Tuition: $3,800 for rehearsal fee &  performance fee. (Costume fee is not included.)

Class Introduction: 
 
Colorful Universe School’s professional Musical Theatre Performance training program is taught in conjunction with Musical Theatre fundamental theory, technique, and practicum instructions, students also have the opportunity to participate in a full-scale musical theatre production, which takes place at the end of each academic year. The level of training will determine which production the students will be placed in broadway shows in Kids, Junior, or Full Version. All productions are directed and choreographed by the faculty of Colorful Universe School and/or professional musical theatre guest artists. Students must have signed with our YEAR ROUND vocal training program at any level including group classes and private lesson, they are eligible to be part of the Colorful Universe Professional Performing Arts Company (CUPPAC) Musical Theatre Competition Team. It is an AUDITION-base troupe that competes in several nation-wide competitions each year.
